Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Doody made her acting debut in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan donnevan starred part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody became a model after the opportunity was offered by an aspiring photographer. The career she pursued has transformed into commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid glamorous and sexy roles, this was the principle she applied in her acting. In the event that she was brought to director's attention for a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was named one of the twelve most promising young actors in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning age 18 when she took on the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first leading role. The episode aired in 1988 opposite John Hurt, Dawn France as well as Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody appeared in the 1991 British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Then she moved to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was a part of the 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine was her character in a celebration in recognition of an award. She was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was scheduled to also play the lead role in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. She began her first two seasons on Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
